Summer Camp is Back!
Safe Harbour: The storms rage and the wind tosses the ship. It looks out into the dark night for safety and rest. Safe Harbour is the place our life can find rest from the raging storm. It is where we can learn what we need and resupply for our voyage. It is what gives us the courage to embrace the storms of life… the promise that there is Safe Harbour at the end of the voyage.
At Safe Harbour Summer Camp we are looking at what we need for our voyage in life, what makes for a successful voyage, and how we can succeed even in the face of difficulty. The week is filled with water games, crafts, chapel, friends, songs, tuck (snacks), and FUN! It’s an exciting and fun time for any kid.
Safe Harbour from August 14-18 runs for ages 5 – 12 at St. Thomas à Becket Church. Camp days run from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Camp cost $50/camper with a discount for families.
Lunch, snacks, a T-Shirt are all included in the cost of camp.
If there is any concern with being able to afford camp we do have bursaries available. We will not turn a camper away due to cost.
Camper Registration Form
At Safe Harbour the campers will travel around in their colour groups through activity stations throughout the day. The colour groups will come together to eat lunch and to play “Wide Games” at the end of the day. On the registration form there is the opportunity to request that your child be placed in the same colour group as one of their friends or family members.
“Wide Games” is a time is a time for all of the campers and leaders to play together. Monday and Friday are water days. Campers should come prepared to get wet on these days.
“Tuck” (Totally Unnecessary Candy for Kids) is an opportunity for the campers to buy candy and treats from our shop. Each camper will have two dollars a day to spend. This price is included in the cost for the camp. Any money not spent by the campers each day will go towards the ministry to youth at the Church.
Lunch is included in the registration fee, however due to limitations we are not able to cater to specific dietary restrictions. If your child has specific dietary needs please send lunch with them.
After we have received the registration form for your child, a package will be mailed to you outlining the activities and theme for the week.
